This repository contains my transcriptions of music I have needed at some point. Thanks to the Lilypond and Musescore projects, any enthusiast can nowadays create, for free, beautiful scores that can be shared and tweaked by future users. Heartfelt thanks to the contributors of these and Frescobaldi projects.
I tend to use Lilypond for final scores that I want to look beautiful, and Musescore when I need faster experimentation and feedback (mostly when doing keyboard reductions). Not that Musescore can’t produce beautiful results too with minimal pain.
Enjoy! Visit the repository (above button) to access the sources and PDFs.
Overview of Contents
-
Ave Maria (F. Schubert): A minimalistic reduction in both the original key and one tone down for contralto, for accompaniment with organ. Arpeggios have been removed in favor of sustained chords, which removes some of its majesty but enables a more intimate and less rigid interpretation by the singer.
-
Dico sì (F. Baggio): Easy piano arrangement (plus voice) of this charming brainworm that I was asked to play by a friend at her wedding.
-
Levaysme amor (L. Milán): A delightful little romantic piece from his “Libro de música de vihuela de mano”.
-
Noche de paz (A. Viñuales): The popular Xmas song, as arranged by the late Antonio Viñuales.
